Description
The system is formed from powder coated aluminium coil 0.7mm gauge. The roll forming of the liner is effected on site
by a machine mounted in the fixing team's vehicle. The lengths are tailor made on site to comply with the exact requirement
of the building and can be produced at a rate of 10m per minute with nil wastage and no handling or transport problems.
Corner joints and stop ends are formed using conventional metal working techniques then riveted and sealed.
Components are sealed with a high quality sealant Arbo1096 (see www.arbo.co.uk for full spec).
Installation
Clean out concrete gutter to provide a bed for the liner. Measure lengths of guttering to an accuracy of 3mm (1/8") and note position of outlets
roll form liner lengths.
Lift liner into position and insert into gutter with rear weather strip held down by bottom row of roof tiles. Fix top
front edge or liner at 1m intervals. Insert leaf traps, stop ends and seal.
Economics
The use of leak free, durable, custom made, maintenance free aluminium liner is inexpensive when considered against
alternative fallible systems and the benefits in terms of building maintenance arising from the elimination of damage
caused by leaking gutters.
Performance
Thermal expansion 1.3mm per 10m length for a temperature change of 20ºc.
